Terms of Use
The short version is: use Tape It for making music, don't do anything shady, your music always stays yours.
Using Tape It
These terms apply to the Tape It app, Tape It Denoiser, and our plugins and other software ("Tape It"). Tape It is provided by Tape It Music GmbH, Berlin, Germany. By using Tape It, you agree to these terms.
You can use Tape It for personal or commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell or redistribute our software, or try to circumvent its licensing or security mechanisms.
Your music is yours
You keep all rights to your recordings, audio files, photos and other content. Using Tape It doesn't give us ownership of any of it.
You are responsible for making sure you have the necessary rights to anything you record, upload or process using Tape It.
Purchases and subscriptions
Some Tape It products and features require payment.
Purchases and subscriptions made through Apple's App Store are handled by Apple and are also subject to Apple's terms and payment policies.
For purchases processed by Paddle, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record. This means Paddle handles the transaction, including payment and applicable taxes.
Our Refund Policy explains when refunds are available.
Online services
Some Tape It features use our servers, for example to back up or sync your recordings. We work to keep these services reliable, but we can't guarantee that they will always be available or error-free.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Updates and changes
We may update or change Tape It over time. This can include adding, changing or removing features, for example to improve the product or maintain compatibility and security.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we're not responsible for indirect losses resulting from your use of Tape It, including lost recordings, files, data or profits.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that can't legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
Please keep backups of important recordings and files.
Ending your use
You can stop using Tape It at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously violate these terms or misuse our services.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our products, services or legal requirements change. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll provide reasonable notice where required.
Governing law
These terms are governed by German law. If you're a consumer, any mandatory protections provided by the laws of your country of residence still apply.
